About 6 months ago my husband told me he was done with this life and wanted out. I took all six kids a left (3 are his). After about a week of hell he asked me to come back, that he made a mistake. I was stupid enough to do it. I love my life. It's not perfect, we both had to work to have just enough to pay the bills. But we are better off then some. I thought we were doing better. After tonight I found out I was wrong. I got home from work and asked him what was wrong because he was acting funny and he said he was done. AGAIN. That he shouldn't have even gotten back together last time. He packed and left. We were already on foodstamps. I just don't understand. Fathers day was amazing, I got him Kayaks. I can't do it on my own with 6 kids. It's too hard as it is. What do I do?

It was worse than I thought, there was another women, and she was married too. I don't understand. Anyways it doesn't matter anymore. I can't give up. I have 6 kids counting on me, right. I made tons of calls today to everyone and anyone that could help. I just wanted to be a stay at home mom and a good wife. I'll just have to work on being a good mom for now. With 6 kids.... I might not survive...

Hello 1teshia1,
It sounds like you have the right attitude. He is a jerk and you are better without him! There is some possible help available for. The Us Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has Child Support Enforcement Offices (http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cse/extinf.html) in all 50 states, they can assist you in getting child support from you husband, and even have it automatically deducted from his paychecks. The link is for a map of the US, simply click on the state where you live and it will show the contact information for you local office.
There is a program called Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/ofa/states/st_index.html), where you can receive assistance in paying utility bills for a period of time. This link is to the state programs information, where you can see the contact phone numbers by state, links for state service programs, etc.
Additionally, you may qualify for assistance in paying for child care (http://nccic.acf.hhs.gov/emergency/topic_childcare.cfm#2). If you don't have a family member watching your children while you are working, I would expect that child care for 6 children is outrageously expensive. They may be able to help you.
There is also a large amount of information about all different types of help on the home page of SingleMomFinancialHelp (http://www.singlemomfinancialhelp.com/)
I know this situation is really stressful right now, but it will get better. Keep your chin up.
Good luck!
~Sally~ :)
