 I am 20 years old and pregnant with my first (13 wks 6 days). I've been getting migranes for weeks and haven't been able to go to work (stareing at a computer screen all day) Obviously no working is no pay. I live alone and my baby's daddy of course wants nothing to do with the baby.
I have not the slightest clue what i am suppose to do if i lose my apartment i will be homeless and if i can't work i can't save money for maternity leave either which is going to be another problem.
Somebody please tell me what my next step is because i don't know where i am suppose to turn or what i can do to finacially help myself before it's too late.

It is common for pregnant women to get migraines during their first trimester (you are just a few days beyond your first trimester). This is thought to be associated with the hormonal free-for-all that is occurring in your body. Into the second and third trimesters, the hormone levels stabilize, and most women's headaches diminish. Other potential culprits include lack of sleep or general fatigue, sinus congestion, allergies, eyestrain, stress, depression, hunger, and dehydration. You may consider visiting a doctor to rule out any medical issues like a sinus infection, etc.

Another consideration is that you had to go cold turkey off of caffeine, which can also cause migraines, as caffeine is a vasoconsrtictor, which means that it constricts the blood vessels in your head and stops the blood from pounding through your head.

My recommendation would be to visit your doctor. You should also speak to the Human Resource Manager at your work, and see if there is any type of short-term disability coverage for your job position. Hopefully, the hormones will stabilize in your body and your headaches will stop soon, but these are some thoughts for you if they do not.

Good luck!
