When it comes to child support there are ways to get assistance. The Department of Health and Human Services has a Child Support Enforcement Office (http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cse/extinf.html). They can assist you in getting a child support order, and even having the child support payments automatically removed from the check before your child's father gets his paycheck. The link is for a map of the United States, so click on your state to get the contact information for your local office.
