    Default please help

I need assistance to pay December rent. Can anyone please help? I've done the single mom thing by myself over a year but in the last few months I've realized I need some aid. Please let me know if you can help via email. My rent is $600. The county is only offering $2. I work 2 jobs but only make about 200 every two weeks and about 50-100 every 2 weeks at the other.

Have you tried to apply for section 8. Why is county only giving you $2. That doesn't make sense.

My dad is a huge catholic, he says the catholic church can usually help single moms. They may not be able to give you money but they may be able to help you raise money or tell you about an organization that can help.

Churches are a great resource if you need help. Many will work with you if you need childcare. Depending on much you spend on childcare already, it could save you a lot. Some churches will even allow you to use their childcare services for free, all they ask in return is that you volunteer your time for different events that they may host later on. It's worth looking into for that possibility, as well as for the other resources and information about charities and organizations they can provide you with.

I agree that churches are a great option to look into. And if they offer you childcare for your children you will be saving a great deal as childcare is so expensive. And if you have to volunteer to get it, then that is great as well because it may be good for you as a stress reliever.

With most states that I have checked into for section 8, I find it takes anywhere from 3 to 5 years to get a place to live. You have to fill out a lot of paper work and then you must meet the qualifications before you are approved. Once approved you go on a waiting list. You must keep the section 8 office updated with every change to your application that you make like job changes, address changes and family size. If you are lucky your name might rise to the top of the waiting list faster when someone decides to not wait for their name to make it to the top.
