Default Looking for any information on grants or scholerships for Troubled Youth Programs

    Hello Everyone,

I am a single mom of a 15 year old son. He is not doing so well and is heading down the wrong path in life. I have found a great place to send him to get the help that he requires but there is no way that I will be able to afford the $6,500 a month tution. I have searched and search for grants or scholerships relating to this but have only found websites that say there are scholerships available but do not tell you where to go or who to contact or any other information that will point me in the right direction. If anyone has any advice or links or anything at all that can help me in my search I would truly ppreciate it.

    Thank you in advance,
    Mother of a Troubled Youth.

The first place that I would start is by finding a Residential School or Bookcamp for your son. These facilities often provide financial help to low income families and financial aid to those who are not. They can direct you in the right direction as to where else to go for help. Most financial institutions have government funded programs similar to a student loan that you can apply for. Most times the interest rates are low. You can try local organizations and non-profit organizations. Scholarships and educational loans require that the Residential School or Bootcamp meet requirements, are licensed as a correctional facility and have a proven track record for success. The following are other places that you can call and ask questions and may be they can put you in touch with someone in your state that can help. Try www.TeenSafeUSA.net, www.redcliffascent.com, School for Defiant Teens www.TurnaboutTeens.org or 866-359-4600, Arizona Boarding School OCES.com/oak-creek-ranch-school this one is for undermotivated teens, ADD/ADHD and other learning challenges. Hope this helps some.
