    Unhappy Single Mom of 2 young kids :(

    Hi My name is Michelle and i am 22 years old. I have 2 young kids. My son is 3 & my daughter is 2. I currently am in a abusive relationship mostly emotional abuse. I currently have nothing and have depended on my boyfriend for 5 years now. It's only getting worse and i want out NOW! I am currently living in a small town that has no opportunities for single mothers nor does it have jobs! I would love any help anyone could give me in leading me in the right direction to programs that'll help me find a job, housing, and good daycare for my 2 young kids that way i can start getting on my feet and bettering myself! If anyone could help me please reply asap because i am starting to look for living in the Phoenix, AZ area!
    Thanks and any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello mommyoftwo,

    For assistance with housing, you will likely need to apply for section 8 housing. This is subsidized rental program, where the state government helps to pay your rent. This is the site for City of Phoenix Housing Department: http://phoenix.gov/citzasst/sect8hou.html

    You can get assistance with paying for daycare through the Department of Health and Human Services. Here is a site that will help to direct you to the contacts in your area: http:
    //nccic.acf.hhs.gov/emergency/topic_childcare.cfm#2

    As for the job situation, I don't know what skills you have, but printing out a resume and going to a employment/temp agency is a good place to start. The following is a link to temp agencies in the Phoenix, AZ area: http://www.superpages.com/yellowpages/C-Employment+Agencies/S-AZ/T-Phoenix/

    I hope that this information at least gives you some ideas on where you need to begin contacting companies for assistance.

    Good luck!

    ~Sally~
