Hi everyone!
I'm a single mother of a 4 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. My (ex)husband decided he wasn't ready for the responsibility of parenthood when my son was a year old and my daughter was 1 month old. The only time I've seen or heard from him was at our divorce hearing. We receive no help at all from him. I have struggled since the first day because he cleaned out our checking and saving accounts.

We are all in this together, if I can help anyone in any way, I will. Most of the time I just need someone to reassure me everything will be ok. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here, it's going to be nice to have some friends that I relate to.

We are all really glad that you are here.

We all have times where we think that something just has got to give. Most of the time it will eventually work out, but the journey can be really stressful.

As a side note, it was really nice that your ex decided that he didn't want to be a parent after helping to bring two children into the world. Men can be so selfish!

I'm so glad I foud this site too. I have just made it through this hard time by just taking it day by day. Today was hard because everyone told me that me and my six kids were to many for most to help with. It was like everyone was against me today. I did get my child support case started though. So at least that was something good. Plus since I have a king size bed I have been sleeping with a few kids each night and that makes it not feel so lonely.

i am a single mom also and i am glad i found this site to. my unemployment ran out last june so i have been looking for work but no luck i have been searching the internet for a wahj but no luck at that either man ill be glad when things get better for me and everyone else.

Hey everyone
I'm Debra, a single Mom from New York.
4 years ago when my 3rd baby was only 2 months old, my husband had a stroke and never came home again. He died 2 years later.
So I've been single for a while now.
Can't say it's easy
Can't say I hate it though
I actually LOVE it and though I know one day I will meet someone and I AM open to it, it's simply not the most important thing in the world to me.
My kids are. I am SO Blessed to be their Mom and we have a very very special family bond.
