Hi eveyone, my name is Naomi, im 17. very young to have gotten pregnant I know. I was with BD for three years then once I got pregnant he wanted nothing to do with me. So here I am single with my 2month daughter, i am a full time student, a senior this year, and my high school daycares for free. Right now me and my daughter are pretty much living on my moms paycheck, she works two jobs, and has two other kids of her own to take care of, so basically we are always broke, and evr since my pregancy my mother has been extremely depressed...I need help finding a job, and i would love to get my own place so that i dont feel like another burden to my mom. I know i made a mistake having a baby so young, but im very stressed from this all, i need help idk what to do and how i can get a job and who will watch my baby while i work? please let me know what are my options and what can i do to better me and my daughters life?

things end up working out... it took me 6mo. after my son. just breath. got to you county DHR and you can get on family assistance. i get about 190$ a month and they offer to pay for daycare and they help you find a job and give you classes. im about to start a job class from them in computers and what not...and theyll do all the child support for you. dont worry! My BD has another baby and hes not even 9months apart from mine.....hes chose one baby over another.

I feel bad to here what you are going through. I am lucky when it comes to my childrens fathers. I am just stressed because it just never seems like I am making it no matter how hard I try. The constant struggle to keep going is exhausting. There just has to be another way. You hang in there and stay strong, Women are capable of handling the mommy and daddy job. We were just made that way.

    Hello One_Love92,

Welcome to the SingleMomFinancialHelp Forum, we are glad that you found us!

I understand your desire to get out on your own to lessen the burden placed on your mom, but what if you continued with school and got a part-time job in the evenings and weekends to help with living expenses. The information that Sammi shared with you is good, your local department of Human Services likely has a number of different services that can help you and your family. Here is a list of www.singlemomfinancialhelp.com/blog/state-assistance-programs-for-single-mothers, from the main page of SingleMomFinancial Help.com

You never mentioned dropping out, but if it can be avoided, don't drop out, finish your high school education, it will make a huge difference in the kinds of jobs that you will be qualified for and the type of life that you will be able to provide for yourself and and your daughter.

Best of luck, and keep us posted!

    ~Sally~
