I am what people now call a displaced homemaker. I was married for 13 years and actually my divorce is not final. I stayed home with our 3 children while my husband worked. He was arrested 1 year ago and remains in jail on abuse charges. I naturally filed for divorce after I found out what was going on. I got my CDL so I could drive a school bus. They provide great insurance and have the same schedule as my children. I applied to school and started August 30th. I am doing everything I can just to make ends meet. Last week the transmission went out in my car to the tune of $2800 and that is a used transmission! I have come up with $1750, but am short $1050. Does anyone know of any programs that would be willing to assist in the bill? I have exhausted all efforts here.
