no im not in that kind of situation but i am in one where i am a single mom and trying to find a job i prefer a wah one i would like to continue being the one to raise my 6 yr old not someone else.
I am a single mom going on 7 months. My son is 2 and I've done everything plus worked even when married. Ironic that it seems harder now. Anyways I want to say hi and introduce myself. I would also like to know if anyone out there has any info. I live in AZ. Before I was pregnant I was going to school to be a cosmetologist, and dropped out after having my son with only 5 months left. I work full time and have him in day care full time. I'm off Saturday and Sunday and can't afford to do anything no babysitter ect. I would like to get out of my job but don't know what I'd do about finances and rent and food. I only have 5 months that I would need assistance to be able to finish school. I am willing to do anything but don't know where to begin. Does anyone have any suggestions or have you ever been in this situation and you were successful. Please any comments welcome. I need to do something for myself before I explode.![]()

Hey Kristin, you should try asking your friends & family if they would like to baby sit for you. If that doesnt work you can always try and the old bartering system. Like, if can make some great desserts try and trade them for babysitting or somthing for yourself. Also maby you could find or start a local baby sitting group, where you trade off sitting days! Hope it helps sugga.
Go to your local DHS and see what kind of services they can offer you. Many times they have programs that you can sign up for. Who knows maybe they can get your childcare paid for while you go to school? Or see if there are any grants that will pay for you to go to school and pay for your daycare. My fiancee went to school for welding and was unemployed at the time and he got all the schooling paid for, as well as gas money. If he would have had kids that lived with him, he would have gotten childcare paid for as well.
