Hello it is good to meet you. I suggest that you look into freelance writing to see if you like that. You may be able to make some money from that. I suggest cooking big meals on the weekends and then freezing them so you just have to pop them into the oven then. Good luck.

If you watch the food channel on TV and watch Rachael Ray she has a program that is all about cooking one day for the whole week and then freezing them. It is a great program and I think that you will benefit from watching it. Good Luck.

I have found the crockpot to be a huge help. If you trust it will not start a fire (meaning you must be sure to add a lot of liquid!) it has made some of the most delicious meats and stews for me. Slow cooking does wonders for flavor. All you have to do is throw the ingredients in --And the house smells amazing when you walk in the door! Sometimes I will use overnight and put away during the day.

Crock pots are an awesome idea. You can do the same thing with your oven also if you don't have a crock pot. Just put all your ingredients in one of those cooking bags, the ones that you can buy that have all the spices in it and then set your oven for 250 and let it cook for several hours. The smell is fantastic when you walk in and your family will have a good meal to set down to after a busy day.

One thing I like to do is cook a huge meal on a weekend day that will leave lots of leftovers. You can turn it into sandwiches and even soup and make something quick and easy for the rest of the week. Crockpots can be a great way to do this, but they're not the only way. Some things are stove-top things, 20minute jobs, one pot meals, etc. Cooks with TV shows like Rachel Ray and Martha Stewart have plenty of recipe for quick or one pot recipes on their websites.

When my children were young I would make TV dinners with the left overs. When we bought the already made TV dinners once in awhile I would save the aluminum trays that they came in and when we had left overs I would portion out the meals and then label them and freeze then. When the children wanted a quick snack or meal I would bring one out of the freezer and in minutes they would have a nutritious meal.
