Techniques on how you can raise well your child alone.

Do you have a special technique on how you want to raise your child to become a loving one even if you are a single parent?
I am just a new single mom and I read a lot of articles about parenting and about babies so that I can raise well my only child.
Please share yours too. I would be happy to know on how your child understand your situation.

I have been a single mom for six years, and when I started I wanted to make it work my daughter's dad so that we could have the American dream. My pregnancy was unplanned, heck I did not know I could get pregnant, anyhow now I enjoy being a mom.

I take one day at time.
I pray, read, and discuss Christ with my daughter
We have FUN! For me I would get caught up on things and what is wrong but when I keep my focus on Jesus, and be a kid with my child have fun.. eat happy meals with them finger paint with them, color with them. It take the pressure off being a single mom.

and try to show love.. that is very important, and I also look at all the parenting mistakes my parents made and I try to be different. some days I find myself acting like them but I try to make the decision to do better than they did.
