It would all depend on a variety of circumstances. Each case is different. My advice to you would be to contact the government agencies that you are getting help from and discuss this matter with each f them. Some of the agencies may decide to keep helping you and then again some may not. Good Luck!

I am not sure if it would make a difference or not. If you need the help though, you need it. Just call and find out if you can still stay on it or if there is some other form of help that you can be on.

I couldn't say for sure, but I would imagine that if you can show that your income hasn't changed after the marriage, and show your amount of need is still the same, you would probably still be eligible for some of it. But it would probably vary based on the organization you're getting assistance from. Some might have weird rules about marriage.

Linda, Sometimes adding another person to your family will help you in your quest into getting aid with your living expenses. You'll just have to call your local Department of Human Services.

Government assistance can be hard to come by. Many hardworking single parents earn "too much" to qualify for benefits like food stamps, but earn too little to actually get by each month. If this describes your situation, know that help is available, and that you're not alone.
