Hello I just wanted to know what kind of help I would be able to get due to the fact that I am homeless with two children. I spent the last of my money for us to stay in a hotel just so we were not sleeping in a car out in the heat. I was going to school and I do have a job but I am currently on disability due to some medical issues concerning my heart, back and legs. I have been through heck and back. I have two older children that had to go live with their dad and that is when everything just fell apart. I was receiving some funds from disability through work but paperwork was not turned in on time because my ex roommate (who robbed me) was not giving me my mail. I have applied for everything but there is a 12 month waiting list for housing and I just don’t have that much time. I want to go back to work and school but I have blackouts so the doctor wont release me back to work. They don’t know why I am blacking out, the doc said it could be seizures, so my babies dad does help out with them but we are not together and he has had no luck finding work to help out financially. He also has two other children, so between us that makes six total. I had surgery in February and almost died from that and it was just a routine hysterectomy. I am just at my wits end. I was on Dean’s list in school and then I was not able to keep up with the work because I got sick. I just want my life back. I want my kids back. I have been at the same job for 4 years and I am about to lose my insurance because I can’t afford to pay it. The medical card is not going to cover most of the docs I see and that’s going to cause problems when the time comes. Please what can I do? What do I qualify for? Oh and my car just broke down on me too.

Im 20 yrs old i have a little girl and im currently homeless i was woundering if there was anyway i could get help buying or renting a house.

my granddaughter has a young son, she is just now receiving assistance from the state in food stamps and some monetary aid. she is a single mom because of a breakup before the birth of her child, and feels it is best to raise her child without the father, due to safety and psychological issues,
now the state says that she must name the father in order to get state assistance, she is a full time college student and desperately needs some assistance, the father is not, or ever has been involved with the child and she would like to keep it this way. for her sake and that of her child. her family agrees whole heatedly with her decision. can you please give us some information to help? thank-you
