I have a sister that lives in Va. She needs home assistance. She needs to escape from her husband that regularly hurts her physically and emotionally. She’s called the cops several times and they seen the marks he’s left on her and they took him to jail and he got right back out on bond. He’s right back with her because she didn’t have no way of paying for her bills or no one to watch her kids. She don’t trust daycare to watch her kids and she has 3 kids. I live in NC and I would definitely watch her kids for her so she can get a job. She’s going to school online also so that she can get a good job and leave her husband, but things has gotten worse lately and she needs to get away now! Is there any way she can get free housing assistance here in NC?

I would first recommend you get a driver’s license so you can be independent enough to drive a car. Also try the TANF(Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), They may be able to help you out.

The HIP(Homeless Initiative Program) might be a good option for you. Contact them and they will surely be able to provide lots of information on how to apply and how to get started.

I am recently separated from my husband of 4 years and have 4 children alltogether .. 3 with this man. During our separation I was forced to leave the home and had nowhere to go since my family lives in WI. So that is where I went temporarily. I cannot be away from my children any longer, but don’t have a job there or a place to live which is necessary to be with my children .. any advice for me?

I am 25 years old Mom of 19 months old boy. My husband is in prison for another 10 years. I asked child support for help but they said they will be able to help me only after my husband will be out of the prison :0 That means I cannot get any help for another 10 years??? I live with my friend in her house. She pays all her bills by herself and I get food stamps $200 each month. I applied for the daycare assistance but I have to wait for 6 months there. I do not have driver licence and I do not have a car. And I live in the area with no public transportation. I have already been placed on debt collection account and do not know how to pay it off. Does anyone know where I can get help?

I pray to all that read this can give me a voice of reasons or anything I am desperate Iam 27 yrs old. I got with my husband when I was 14 I finished high school and got pregnant right away for the past 12 years I have been abused sexually,physically,mentally and emotionally I have 4 kids with him and I want to get out so bad he never allowed me to work or go to school so I feel stuck all my family lives in California and I am in NC alone I went to DSS to ask what they can help me do they said a shelter and I could get assitance but i have to work for Goodwill and they would give me 140$ a month thats not enough for well anything I am so depressed and I asked them if I could get daycare assit to go back to school they said they dont have that program anymore so I ask any one out there what do I do? It seems all the doors close on me and another thing the shelter said they dont have room for me and 4 kids I dont know what to do California is way too expensive to live and besides i have no miney to relocate I pray and I try to be a good mom but how am I being a good mom allowing my kids to see all this abuse PLEASE I BEG WHAT DO I DO?
