Surely there is a way in which you can receive maternity assistance. Medicaid is an option, but I am not sure about eligibility requirements. You should contact them and see what happens and take it from there.

Hi–
I feel so lost so I came here in hopes for a little help. My husband and I are both going to college and just found out we are expecting a baby. I’m still on my parents insurance but they do not provide maternity so I’m not covered in my pregnancy. My husbands job aso does not provide benefits and I am unemployed. What do we do?? My husband only makes about 22,000 a year to support both of us. Would we qualify for Medicaid even though we’re going to college?? I’m so stressed!

You should try to take a look at child support and see if there is any way that they can help out with your children.

You can look more into receiving state assistance . As for college you can always receive College Grants for Single Mothers. Also, you can contact TANF who provide Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. Good luck!

My sons dad was shot in the neck and has been in the hospital for the past 3 months. He’s now paralized. Is there any program out there that can help me besides dws/ financial aid. I also want to go to college and they don’t offer child care. I recently got approved for housing sec 8 so now i have anxiety on how I’m going to provide for my son. Furniture,food,ect. Till i find a steady job.

Hi I am trying to get out of my marriage and I have three small kids. I have been a stay at home mom and just started going back to school but I just can’t stay here no longer it is not good for me or my children.So my question is where do I start? I have no job no money no where to live so I am just trying to find out what kind of help that I can get and if there is an office that I can go to so they could also help me out.

I am a struggling single mom of 3 young autistic children. I have no help no family, I’m at my wits end I feel very hopeless & on the verge of loosing it. I get no sleep, food is scarce & negative in bank account. I truly need a break before something bad happens & emergency child care services won’t take my children. Please if anyone knows of any kind of assistance please tell me!
